Introducing Weisie!  A wonderful dog who is totally sweet, affectionate, well-behaved and wants to enjoy life with a loving family!  If this is the kind of dog you are in search of, Wiesie could be your dog!  Wiesie is half lab and half pit.  She is up to date on shots and spayed, and will go to her new home fully vetted.  

Weisie currently is in foster care.  Weisie is great off leash and currently is being fostered on a farm where she runs around loose (supervised).  She is a devoted dog who loves her people, listens well and always comes when she is called, and never leaves the area.  She is a house dog and does not need to be crated while you are gone if you don’t want her to be.  She is crate trained however, and is quiet while in the crate.  She is used to being on furniture, which was allowed at her old home, but will stay off of furniture if you tell her to.   Weisie is a big cuddle bug and loves to be close by her people.  She is very devoted to her people.  Weisie is an active dog and loves to be able to have a good run everyday.  She is definitely not a hyper dog at all.  She is very calm and well-behaved in the house.

Weisie is good with people of all sizes, and likes children; however she has been known to accidentally knock down little ones, so older children are probably better for that reason.  

People can take food, bones, and toys away from Weisie without any issue in the least.  However, Weisie does some resource guarding where other animals are concerned, which is why she needs to go to a home where she will be the only pet or go to a home where her resource gaurding issues can be worked on.  She is very respectful of people and is a very good girl. 

Weisie is hoping for a happily-ever-after adoption soon.  She misses having a family of her own.  She is an  affectionate, devoted, and well-behaved dog who is so deserving of a wonderful home.

This dog has been spayed, vaccinated, health checked, heartworm/lymes tested (negative) and microchipped

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

The breeds of our dogs and cats are a "best guess." We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a "full grown size" of many of our younger animals.

Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7331 Baker St NE, Fridley MN 55432. We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family.

All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!
